Ouch!
Friday morning I had to be at the hospital for a small procedure to remove a cancerous spot from my nose. I was told in the beginning I would probably only need one or two stitches at the most but I guess because he had to remove more than expected it has taken 4 stitches to close it up. We won't know for about 1-2 weeks if they got it all when the report comes back from the lab. It is really painful still but as usual I do not let anything get in my way of doing things.
Saturday I managed to still do the craft show but it was not very successful. There seem to be more people just looking these days and also I think there are just to many of them now. Another thing some of us discussed was that there are now to many businesses that are selling their products which have nothing to do with "crafts". Crafts are generally hand-crafted and not manufactured. Maybe we need to start calling them Marketplaces instead! I know when I go to a craft show I will only buy from people that have actually put their talents to work and have come up with something unique and different.

You're so brave, Jill. I need to have some work done on my foot and I'm such a chicken. I had a disappointment the last time I did a craft show, too. Probably for the same reasons you said. I'm sure you didn't feel like doing it right then either with your surgery. have you tried Etsy? Diane
Me again Jill. Thanks for commenting on my art page. Thank you, too, for reading it. Just thought I'd let you know how to make that master board - it couldn't be easier. I'm sure you have graphics from some of your card patterns, photos, magazine cutouts or even little sheets of stickers from the store. Take a sheet of paper (8 1/2 by 11")- you might want to use white paper or a colored paper or even wrapping paper or newspaper, and arrange whatever you want on the paper. You may want to put some of the graphics going in different directions. Attach them loosely with double-faced tape. You may want to write things on it - love, bliss, happiness, memories(just ideas). Then put it in your printer, make copies, and you have it!!! You can glue it to a heavier sheet of cardstock, then cut it up into tags, cards, envelopes, whatever you want. Good luck and have fun. Sorry I took up so much space on your blog. Hope you're feeling good today. e mail me if you have questions. Blessings, Diane
well that looks rather sore, I sure hope it is healing quickly. How long do the stitches have to stay in?
I've been staying away from craft shows lately for the very same reason...I think they need to make new rules and have them be hand crafted only. It's much better that way and more fun.
Hope you are on the mend, take care.
